Founded in 1993 by Charles & Gill Vizor, we are an estate agent with traditional values but a modern approach. Our history is important to us; it’s where it all started and has made us the innovative estate agency we are today.
1993
Set up by husband and wife team Charles & Gill Vizor, the first premises were based just off the roundabout at Mason Road, Headless Cross. Charles & Gill had a vision of an Estate Agent with traditional core values combined with the most modern technologies available – which is still prevalent in the business today.
2000
New premises were acquired, and we moved closer to the town centre onto Church Green East. This was to be the home of Vizors for the next 20 years. Charles & Gill, supported by a fantastic team, soon became well-known locally for offering exceptional customer service, combined with an incredible experience and vast knowledge to call upon. Vizors soon obtained the reputation as the ‘Leading Lettings Agency’ locally. Not only that, but also the ‘go-to’ agent for the most comprehensive Letting and Property Management service. Charles & Gill worked tirelessly to ensure that the needs of landlords and tenants alike were met and could often be seen going ‘above & beyond’ to maintain the hard-earned reputation and build it further. The residential sales side of the business had always been successful but had not quite mirrored the incredible success of the lettings side of the business.
2014
Charles approaches and then employs Mark Wainwright to join the Vizors family as the Director of Sales in 2014, with the objective of growing residential sales. Mark had accumulated nearly 20 years’ experience as a Manager in Redditch for a large corporate Estate Agent. The team felt complete with the vast experience in Lettings offered by Charles & Gill now matched in sales with Mark’s expertise. The residential sales side of the business understandably took off and continues to grow from strength to strength. In 2017 Mark took full ownership of the business and 2025 see’s Mark hit a milestone 30 years in the industry.
2017
Charles & Gill retire from the business, passing the legacy of Vizors onto Mark. Subsequently, Sharaine Wakefield joined the family to run the Lettings & Property Management side of the business. Sharaine had been working tirelessly in lettings for some 20 years plus, again with larger corporate agents. Sharaine & Mark had worked together previously, so they had an appreciation for how each other worked, and how to get the most out of the combined TEAM and business. It was understandably a challenging time losing the two founders of the business in Charles & Gill. For nearly 30 years, they had been the faces (and voices) of Vizors and, of course, would be dearly missed. But, the business was in very safe hands.
2020
Mark and Sharaine were offered new premises, just outside Redditch Town centre on the Bromsgrove Road. After 20 years on Church Green East, it was time to move to bigger and better premises. So, this is now where you’ll find the Vizors team at Hyde House, 52 Bromsgrove Road.
2021
2021 has been an exciting year. We’ve been through a bit of a transformation. We decided the Vizors logo needed to be aligned to the business it is today, but not detracting from the traditional values it upholds.
Our journey continues, and it’s a very exciting time for Vizors. But the core focus remains….. to offer vast knowledge and experience, high levels of customer service to ensure Vizors stand out as the go-to Estate Agent locally.
