It’s coming into the latter part of the summer holidays and I can almost hear the sighs of reliefs from parents all over Redditch and the surrounding areas, we’re getting closer to the beginning of September, when we can drop them off at those school gates…with a huge smile!
With only a few weeks left we have come up with a few activities in the local area that will keep the kids entertained (for one day at least):

These guys don’t mess about when it comes to fun for kids, they offer 20,000 square foot of indoor play area, plenty to keep them occupied.
Run by parents that feel it’s important for you to feel free to interact with your children, so you can even go and have a go yourself in the play frame (if you’re feeling brave)

If you want to keep your children’s brains active during the summer holidays, then they’ll be fascinated by this museum.
This is one of the last remaining water powered mills in the world. The history on show of the ancient ruins will allow your children to see how people lived a long, long, long time before ipads and iphones!
There’s recreated scenes that the children can watch and they can have a good look at the Victorian machinery.

Kids will love to play on the 360 Play Street role play zone, with shops and it’s own pizza parlour; they’ll spend hours exploring whilst you can refuel at the café on site.
Not many people know but the founder of 360 Play also developed Gulliver’s Theme Park group, so you know your children are in for a good time. The physical play area will make sure that they’re asleep in the car before you leave the car park!

We haven’t done this one ourselves, but definitely one that the parents can get involved in. Sounds like good fun though…
It’s a dual 5/7.25” ground level signalled track with bridges, station, tunnel and interesting gradients. You will have to check with them as they normally operate 2 weekends per months.
As we all know the summer holidays can be an expensive time of the year, constantly trying to keep the young ones active and doing something new every day.
